Especially where the sunlight is intense, using textiles with UV protection is essential for protection agains harmful radiation. To be certain that your product does what it promises to do, the Hohenstein Institute tests the UV protection of all kinds of textiles such as beach shelters, apparel fabrics and sunshades. Testing for compliance with
UV STANDARD 801, for example, delivers reliable results and takes account of aspects such as stretching of the textile, moisture and ageing of the material. This means we are measuring in realistic conditions which often considerably reduce the UV protection.
