Concerning health safety, manufacturers of cosmetotextiles, as well as manufacturers of cosmetics can have their articles tested according to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 for possible harmful substances.

The Hohenstein “Skin friendly” and “Allergy friendly” quality labels can also be applied in the laboratories of the Hohenstein Institute, based on animal-free, effect-related tests, to determine whether the materials can trigger skin irritations or allergies.

In the case of cosmetotextiles we can verify whether cosmetic substances can be transferred onto or penetrate human skin.

Another aspect in which we can support the cosmetics manufacturer concerning optimisation of their products is the interaction between cosmetic substances and textiles – for example in the development of deodorants which do not leave stains or discolourations on articles of clothing.
