Sanko Towel Earns MADE IN GREEN by OEKO-TEX® for Sustainable Towels

Vertically integrated manufacturer is first in Turkey to qualify for consumer label

OEKO-TEX® is pleased to announce that Sanko Towel, one of the largest towel and bathrobe manufacturers in the world, has earned the first MADE IN GREEN by OEKO-TEX® consumer sustainability label in Turkey indicating that their towels are both tested for harmful substances according to the STANDARD 100 by OEKO- TEX® and produced sustainably in facilities that meet the STeP by OEKO- TEX® criteria. SANKO TOWEL sells its products throughout brands and retailers in the EU, the UK, and the US also under own brands such as Egeria®, Maisonette®, NanotouchTM, and Microtouch®.

The MADE IN GREEN by OEKO-TEX® label allows consumers to easily and quickly confirm the sustainability of a textile product. Each label has a unique product ID code that can be verified at or a QR code that can be scanned with a smart phone.
