The Hohenstein Institute is one of the two founding members of the International OEKO-TEX® Association.

Since 1992, Hohenstein as well as the other 15 OEKO-TEX® member institutes have offered targeted support for companies of the textile industry on the basis of their independent certifications and services to implement more sustainability and product responsibility along the worldwide textile value chain.

At the moment, we can offer you the following OEKO-TEX® services and certifications:

The OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is an independent testing and certification system for textile raw materials, intermediate, and end products at all stages of production.

STeP ("Sustainable Textile Production") by OEKO-TEX® is an independent certification system for brands, retail companies and manufacturers from the textile chain who want to analyse, certify and optimise their production facilities with respect to sustainable and socially responsible manufacturing conditions.

MADE IN GREEN by OEKO-TEX® is an independent textile label for highlighting consumer articles and textiles at all levels of the textile value creation chain that are made from materials tested for harmful substances and have been manufactured using environmentally friendly processes and under safe and socially responsible working conditions.

MySTeP by OEKO-TEX® is a database for brands, retailers, and manufacturers, which enables them to manage their own supply chains whether or not they are OEKO-TEX® certified.

ECO PASSPORT by OEKO-TEX® is a third-party certification by which textile chemical suppliers demonstrate that their products can be used in a sustainable textile production.
